Architectures for Digital Signal Processing
The course presents digital architectures for signal processing applications. The circuit implementation of basic arithmetic operations and means of performance enhancements using parallel processing and pipelining are covered. Another major topic is the systematic design of array processors for regular signal processing tasks. In addition, programmable signal processor design is treated. Implementations of fundamental signal processing applications like, e.g., digital filters, are examined, considering dedicated and programmable architectures (see also the corresponding book).
