THINGS2DO is a ENIAC project, funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The project aims to develop the new Fully Depleted Silicon On Insulator (FD-SOI) technology and the corresponding tool environment for high efficient and highly integrated circuits. The capabilities of the technology are further demonstrated through a demonstrator in the area of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These systems assist the driver while driving in different situations and pave the way to accident-free and autonomous driving.

The Institute of Microelectronic Systems at the Leibniz Universität Hannover works in the field of algorithms and hardware architectures for digital signal processing applications with highest demands. In the THINGS2DO project, the focus will be on the implementation of real time multi-camera hardware demonstrators for complex driver assistance systems on the SDIP-SoC of the project Partner DreamChip Technologies GmbH, Garbsen, Germany and the evaluation of the capabilities for the automotive industry. Specifically a synthetic top-view, as well as a 3D environment reconstruction will be implemented on the platform.

Further information concerning the THINGS2DO project can be found on the project homepage.
