Institute of Microelectronic Systems

Thank you for visiting the Website of the Institute of Microelectronic Systems (IMS) at the Leibniz Universität Hannover.  We are delighted to welcome you and take pleasure in presenting what opportunities are available for study and research at the IMS.

At IMS we constantly challenge the science surrounding the development of highly-integrated microelectronic circuits (chip design).  This encompasses architecture concepts and their implementation based on highly integrated circuits and application in hardware demonstrators, power management circuits, methods for analogue/mixed signal and physical design, model-based design space exploration.  Principal applications of the developped microelectronic systems currently under development include Biomedical Engineering, Power Electronics, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Digital Multi-media Signal Processing.

The Institute is divided into two research groups, Architecture and Systems and Design of integrated Mixed-Signal Circuits. Both groups, in combination, cover the full range of IC design competencies - digital, analog and mixed-signal.

This Website contains all relevant information regarding opportunities for study and research for interested school students and university students and also for potential project or research partners.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, we are more than happy to help.

Enjoy your visit to our website.
