Teaching Excellency: Teaching award for professors of the IMS for the third time in a row

Once a year the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science awards the "APFEL - Award for teaching excellency". In 2021, the Institue of Microelectronic Systems (IMS) was bestowed the award for the third time in a row. This time, Professor Hartmut Grabinski was awarded the golden apple. In the years before, it went to Professor Holger Blume (2019) and Professor Bernhard Wicht (2018). As a consequence of the pandemic the award was not granted in the year 2020.
The nomination of the award is done every year by a committee consisting of primarily students. Main criteria for the nomination are the combination of professional, social, personal and methodical capacity building, the overall concept of the teaching courses, and their innovation.
